Anime Challenge Day 18 – Favourite supporting female character

Minene Uryuu

The most badass supporting character ever. I can pretty much say that Minene was the best character in Miraki Nikki. Yuno was also awesomely portrayed, but Minene was likeable, not a crazy psycho bitch that you can’t help but hate.

I started loving Minene after her first appearance, when she ditched the crazy ponytails and stupid dress. And kept loving her more and more until the end.

She deserved to have the main spot, honestly. She’s smart, strong, badass, caring and willing to sacrifice herself for the greater good.

I love how, underneath her tough, unscratchable imagine, there’s this soft creature that wants to be loved, despite all the trauma that she has been through as a kid.

Definitely a remarkable character. I wish there was more or Minene Uryuu.

“not a crazy psycho bitch that you can’t help but hate”

She is introduced as a crazy terrorist that threatens to bomb a whole school and does exactly that. How is that NOT a psycho crazy bitch? Yuno at least has the decency to kill only people who stand in her way, not every innocent bystander.

“She sacrificed herself for the greater good”. Except she didn’t. She lived well enough for her to have a family. And the one who sacrificed herself for the greater good was in fact, Yuno.

I know this is about supporting female character (hence not Yuno) but you are putting nr. 9 on a higher pedestal than she deserves.

In fact, she did sacrifice herself for the greater good given the fact that she had no idea she was to survive. So yes. But, yes, Yuno seems to be really popular among 14
      y/o girls.

But Yuno literally killed herself for “the greater good”

        > “she did sacrifice herself”

        She attempted to sacrifice herself

        > “Yuno is popular among 14 year old girls”

Oh snap, I feel ashamed for being compared to a girl. The harshest comeback on the internet.
