Anime Challenge Day 2 – Favourite anime you’ve watched so far

Day 2 is here. I shall reward myself for being on track, it’s decided. :3

Favourite anime you’ve watched so far

Now, I’m a simple human. I enjoy the little things in life. No, I actually plan to take over the world soon. In the meantime, though, I like to spend my free time indulging in slice of life shows with no plot whatsoever to which I can relate more or less.

This seems to be one of the toughest days in the challenge, but I’ve given it some thought and I got to the conclusion that my favourite all time anime (from what I’ve watched so far) has to be none other than Lucky Star.

But why, you might wonder. Because it’s funny, cute and lazy. Just like me, except for the funny and cute part. Most of my love for this show comes from the love for the characters. I mean, how can you not love Konata? Konata is love, Konata is life. Konata is my spirit animal.

And they have all those hints to other series and parodies like Haruhi and stuff. And it’s magical. We get a hardcore otaku, a tsundere twin, the other twin who is a stupid dumb-ass with a thing for cooking and the perfect shy, rich girl who is clumsy and dumb as fuck.

And what do they do?

That’s the spirit. This is the life I want for myself. I wanna leave my job, grow blue hair and become Konata. That’s my secret plan.

Fun fact: Since I first watched the series in 2009, I think, this ^ has been on my desktop background. Until recently, that is, after I began reading Yotsuba&!.
